Studio & Collector Guide
Welcome to the Octavia Wild studio.
Each artwork is created as a contemporary fine art piece using archival materials and produced individually to order in collaboration with specialist fine art production studios. This guide provides clarity and transparency around how your work is made, shipped, and cared for.
THE ARTWORK & ARCHIVAL QUALITY
What am I purchasing?
Each work is a contemporary abstract fine art composition produced as an archival-quality print or canvas. Unless otherwise stated, works are offered as open edition pieces produced to order. These works are intended for physical space, where light, scale, and environment complete the composition.
Framing is not included unless explicitly stated on the product page.
What materials and production standards are used?
Works are produced using archival fine art materials and professional colour-managed imaging systems used in contemporary gallery production.
Fine art paper works: produced on archival papers using pigment-based inks, delivering controlled tonal depth, colour accuracy, and long-term stability.
Canvas works: produced on archival canvas substrates using pigment-based fine art printing, then hand-stretched onto stretcher bars and finished for display.
What is the production process?
Each artwork is produced through a controlled fine art workflow used in contemporary gallery printing:
-
Colour-managed digital imaging calibrated for fine art reproduction
-
Archival pigment printing on specialist substrates
-
Professional production on archival paper and canvas
-
Hand finishing and quality inspection
-
Individual production per order (no stock holding or mass production)
Are all pieces identical?
No. Each artwork is produced to order. Subtle variations in tone, texture, and edge detail may occur due to material behaviour, calibration differences, and the physical nature of fine art production. These are not defects but inherent characteristics of the process.
Do I receive a Certificate of Authenticity?
Yes. Each order is issued with a studio Certificate of Authenticity confirming it as an authorised Octavia Wild release.
SCALE, DISPLAY & FRAMING
How should I choose size?
Scale is integral to the work. Selection should consider architectural presence rather than decoration alone. Larger formats enhance spatial impact and presence within a room. If required, you may request guidance before purchase.
How should the artwork be framed?
-
Fine art paper: We recommend professional framing using acid-free archival mounting materials and UV-protective glazing to preserve tonal integrity over time.
-
Canvas: Canvas pieces are professionally stretched. For a refined contemporary presentation, float (shadow-gap) framing in natural wood or matte black is recommended.
How should I care for my artwork?
To preserve archival quality:
-
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight
-
Avoid high humidity environments
-
Handle unframed works only by the edges
-
Avoid rapid temperature shifts or direct heat exposure
