Inspired by the shifting colours and changing light experienced while travelling through parts of Africa, this work explores the relationship between warmth, atmosphere, and expansive space. Rather than documenting a specific landscape, the painting distils those impressions into layered colour and abstract form, allowing memory to become something felt rather than depicted.

Arcobaleno in italian means "rainbow". Luminous layers of colour unfold through soft yet composed brushes, creating an expansive composition. A restrained palette of pastel transitions is anchored by deep emerald, luminous saffron, and subtle passages of crimson and cerulean with metallic rusty splatters, allowing shifts in tone and light to emerge gradually across the surface. Developed through successive layers, the painting reveals depth and material richness that reward sustained observation. Its evolving tonal relationships respond to changing light, allowing the work to maintain a quiet yet distinctive presence within both intimate and architectural settings.
