Inspired by a journey through Mongolia, the work draws from the profound openness of its landscapes, the immensity of its skies, and the feeling of standing within a vast, untouched horizon. Both expansive and intimate, Totus Mundus invites contemplation of our connection to the world around us—the beauty of the unknown, the passage of light through darkness, and our place within a larger whole.
Meaning “the whole world” or “the entire universe,” Totus Mundus reflects a meditation on interconnectedness, vastness, and the shared experience of existence. Suspended between atmosphere and energy, this abstract composition unfolds through layered purples and deep blues reminiscent of distant horizons and infinite skies. Mist-like veils of colour drift across the surface, creating depth, movement, and a sense of quiet expansion, while expressive passages of gold, white, and blue illuminate the composition like fragments of light emerging from darkness.
